Whether you are talking to a fellow caregiver, serving your vulnerable loved one, serving on a Family Council or telling a memory of your care work that might help another caregiver ~ we believe that no action is lost. Today, we believe the continued education of each stakeholder and their role - will be an answer toward progressive movement. At Essential - we do this in the memory of all who live in long term care facilities who cannot speak for themselves.
Currently, Essential is a voice on New York State's Master Plan on Aging. We sit on three different subcommittees in the areas of Informal Caregiving, Long Term Services and Supports, and Health and Wellness (Cognitive Health). It remains an honor and privilege to give voice to those who are marginalized whether through illness, disability, age or income. Review the link of the preliminary report that was made public today!
The Master Plan for Aging for New York State will be released in January, 2025.
