We serve our loved ones
Since May, 2020, Essential Care Visitor.com has been advocating for
an essential visitor category that identifies those of us who serve our loved ones
in institutions during COVID-19. We family caregivers are the bridge of care.
We are the gap care that are partners with Facilities. We exist.
In July, 2020 we wrote an Essential Care Plan. In August, 2020 we submitted testimony to New York State Legistlature. In September, 2020 we hosted an Essential Care Visitor Rally Outside of Governor Cuomo's Office. In October, 2020, we hosted the TakeOurNursingHomesBack Rally outside of the New York State Capitol. In November, 2020 we appealed to the State Legislature to Reconvene to vote on four versions of the Essential Caregiver Bill.
We are the voices of our loved ones through both direct care and care advocacy.
We need to continue our direct care as essential care visitors so our loved ones don't perish
in long term care facilities.
Below downloads are the Archival Documents of what birthed the
deep Advocacy to our State Legislature of Acknowledging our
Essential Care Visitor existence within Nursing Facilities Nationwide.
Senator Rachel May presented this Bill on
September 2, 2020 and it currently sits in the
Health Committee.
Email, Call and Write your Congressman and Senator regarding these two Bills so you can continue to give voice to your
Loved One
